Star Wars and William Shakespeare

Did you know that the Star Wars saga has been retold in the style of William Shakespeare?

The author of William Shakespeare’s Star Wars Trilogy is Ian Doescher, an American fiction writer, who was inspired to create Elizabethan version of the iconic George Lucas’s saga after reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a parody of Jane Austen’s great romantic novel, and watching Star Wars trilogy for ‘the millionth time’. Each volume in the series presents one of the films as a Shakespeare play with authentic meter and verse, soliloquies and dialogues by everyone from Darth Vader to R2D2. Every scene and character from the film appears in the play. Ian Doescher’s work has even been performed live on YouTube during this year’s Covid-19 lockdown with each actor performing from home.

Reguła: to be + past participle (3. forma czasownika)

Uwaga: stronę bierną używamy, gdy kładziemy nacisk nie na wykonawcę czynności lecz na samą czynność.

Np. The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has been recently renovated.  (Most) Golden Gate Bridge w San Francisco został niedawno zmodernizowany.
